How to request deletion
- Send an email to info@hack-the-planet.io from the email address you sign in with.
- Use the subject Delete my Instant Detect account
- We confirm by email that your account has been deleted, within 30 days and usually much sooner. If we can't tell which account is yours, we reply to ask.
You can also ask the organisation that gave you access to your Instant Detect project to remove you; they can pass the request on to us.
What we delete
- Your account: username, email address and name
- Your access to projects
- The devices you signed in on, their session tokens and push notification tokens
- Your notification settings
- Sign-in codes sent to your email address
To remove the data the app keeps on your phone (session, image cache and settings), log out and uninstall the app.
What we keep
- Camera images and detections. These are captured by the project’s camera traps, not by you, and belong to the project. They stay available to the project’s other members.
- Server logs. Technical logs on the Instant Detect server can still contain your username or email address for some time after your account is deleted.
